Club Meeting Notes: November, 2008

Club member, John Chubick, recently won a home brewing competition sponsored by the Abnormal Brewers and Desthil. His award-winning recipe was brewed by Desthil and available on draft in November.
The annual holiday party will be held on December 13th. Members that have not received an invitation should contact the club.
December’s Beer Style will be home brew with an emphasis on holiday beers.
January’s Beer Style will be Farmhouse/Belgian Ales. See Jim Weinzierl if you plan on bringing one of your own beers to share.
2009 marks the club’s 20th anniversary. Committees will be formed to plan special events.
A committee for coordinating a group grain order will be formed.
The forum will be moved to avoid ads. Content will not be preserved.
Other Meeting Activities
Chad Bevers gave the beer style presentation on India Pale Ale. Some commercial examples that were shared included: Crooked Tree IPA from Dark Horse, Lagunitas IPA, Moylan’s, and Bittersweet Lenny’s R.I.P.A. from Shmaltz. Chad also brought two of his own brews. Kevin shared some as well.
