During March and April’s meetings, the ABNormal Brewers conducted some informal tastings of club members’ beers in order to select the best beer for the AHA Club-Only Competitions. March’s beer style was American Ales. Five different club members entered a total of 6 beers. Ed Embree took first place. Four different club members entered April’s competition (extract beers) Ed Embree took first place again with his Dunkel. The club will reimburse Ed for entry fees and shipping costs to submit his beers to the National Competitions.

The next Club-Only Competition will be Mead. Entries are due at the end of July so we will select the best Mead from our club during the July meeting.
