Madison, WI

ITINERARY:

The plan is to visit the following: the Grumpy Troll, Capital Brewery Tour, Woodman's Market, the Ale Asylum and the Great Dane arriving at our first stop at 11:30 AM. Plan for a long day. We are traveling by bus, so you won't have to worry about driving...just getting to the bus in the morning on time, back on the bus between stops and not getting left behind! You may bring your own beer and munchies on the bus. Lunch and dinner will be buy-your-own with food available at the brewery stops.

NOTE: This trip is open to anyone 21 years and older and who is interested in good beer and having fun.

BUS PICK-UP SITES:

PEORIA: Meet in the FREE public parking lot at Evergreen Square (Sheridan Rd and Lake St). Park your car in the SE area of the parking lot near Lens Crafters. The bus will leave at 7:15 AM.

BLOOMINGTON/NORMAL: Meet at the Best Western parking lot 6 Traders Cir, at 8:00 AM (I-55 exit 165). This stop will be cancelled if no one from that area signs up to go.

OGLESBY: Meet at the Holiday Inn Express parking lot 900 Holiday Street, at 9:00 AM (I-39 exit ?). This stop will be cancelled if no one from that area signs up to go.

IMPORTANT: NO GLASS or KEGS ON BUS. You may bring your beer in cans, plastic bottles or ???; JUST NO GLASS or KEGS.

Damn I have a game that day and can't go!

I posted because I was just at the Grummpy Troll last month, and although the service was crap, the Beer was good and the pizza was excellent! I also went on the capital brewery tour and highly recommend that one, it's probably my favorite brew tour to date, but it's a close call with New Glarus...
